ISM client Jackson Schneider has signed with the Penticton Vees of the Western Hockey League for the 2026-27 season, bringing a competitive, two-way game to one of the BCHL-turned-WHL's top programs.
The Calgary, AB native spent the 2025-26 season with the Waterloo Black Hawks in the USHL, registering 15 points in 52 games as a defenceman. Before that, he skated with Sherwood Park and Camrose in the AJHL and was part of the Calgary Buffaloes' Telus Cup run in 2024.
Standing 6-foot, 179 lbs, Schneider brings a well-rounded skill set to Penticton. Vees Director of Scouting Adam Sergerie had this to say about the signing:
"Jackson is a hard-nosed, two-way transitional defender who defends exceptionally well and plays with fearlessness. He's very efficient at advancing pucks under pressure, and we've been impressed with his puck skill development this past season."
This is the kind of move that validates the process. Schneider put in the work across multiple leagues, continued to develop, and earned his opportunity at a higher level. That's exactly the pathway ISM helps players navigate: identifying the right steps, building the resume, and creating the opportunities that lead to the next chapter.
Congratulations to Jackson and his family. We're looking forward to watching him compete in Penticton next season.
